AIOps consulting with a human in the loop
AIOps consulting is help applying automation and AI to IT operations, mainly alert triage and incident response. Valfort Tech starts with an alert-noise audit and cleanup, then pilots an AI SRE agent on your past incidents before it sees live ones. Any fix the agent suggests waits for a named engineer to approve it.
When teams call us about AIOps
Thousands of alerts a week, a handful that matter.
- Your team receives thousands of alerts a week and acts on a handful.
- Engineers mute alert channels because most messages are duplicates or noise.
- Leadership wants an AI SRE agent, but nobody knows if your data is ready for one.
- Every incident starts from scratch, with engineers searching logs and old chat threads.
- You want faster remediation but will not let a tool change production on its own.
What we deliver
Everything ships as code in your repositories, with runbooks and a recorded handover.
Alert-noise audit
We classify several weeks of alert history as actionable, duplicate, flapping or noise. You get a ranked list of alerts to delete, group or fix.
Alert cleanup and grouping
Deduplication, grouping and routing rules in Alertmanager or your paging tool, delivered as code in your repositories.
AI readiness review
A check of whether your telemetry, runbooks and incident records are good enough for an AI agent to use, with each gap and its fix listed.
AI SRE agent pilot on past incidents
We replay your past incidents through a chosen agent and score its diagnosis against what actually happened, before it sees live traffic.
Remediation behind human approval
Suggested actions arrive as a proposal in chat or a pull request. Nothing runs in production until a named engineer approves it.
Guardrails and audit log
Read-only credentials by default, narrow permissions for approved actions only, and a log of every suggestion and decision.
Typical results
Alert noise typically falls 70–90% once duplicate, flapping and unowned alerts are removed or grouped.
The pilot typically ends with scored results on your own incidents, so the choice to adopt, extend or stop rests on data, not demos.
Engineers typically start each incident with relevant context already gathered and a suggested diagnosis to check.
Typical ranges, not promises. We measure your own baseline in the first week.
How a AIOps engagement runs
The first two weeks run on read-only access. Every change after that goes through your pull requests, with one named engineer and a written update every Friday.
- Week 1
- Alert-noise auditWe pull alert history, incident records and runbooks on read-only access, and classify every alert source.
- Week 2
- Roadmap and first cleanupYou get a scored report, a readiness verdict and a ranked 90-day roadmap, and we ship one noise fix through your pull requests.
- Weeks 3–6
- Pilot on past incidentsWe replay past incidents through the agent and score its answers, then run it in shadow mode on live incidents with no write access.
- Weeks 7–12
- Guarded remediation and handoverIf the pilot results justify it, we enable approved actions one at a time behind human approval, then hand over runbooks and a recorded walkthrough.

AIOps questions
What is AIOps?
AIOps is the use of automation and machine learning to handle operational work such as alert grouping, incident triage and root cause analysis. In practice, most of the early value comes from cutting alert noise, which needs clean data more than clever models. Valfort Tech starts there, then tests AI SRE agents on your own incident history.
Can an AI SRE agent fix production incidents on its own?
Not in the setups we build. The agent runs on read-only access, gathers context and proposes a diagnosis and a fix. Any action that changes production arrives as a proposal or pull request, and a named engineer must approve it before it runs. Every suggestion and decision is logged, so you can review how the agent performs over time.
How much does AIOps consulting cost?
Engagements start with a 10-day readiness sprint at a fixed $3,500. You get a scored report, a ranked 90-day roadmap and one fix shipped to production. If we do not find at least three times the fee in savings or avoided risk, the sprint is free. Follow-on work is scoped after the sprint, and the sprint fee is credited to it.
How long does an AI SRE agent pilot take?
The readiness sprint takes 10 working days and covers the alert-noise audit and a readiness verdict. If your data is ready, the pilot on past incidents follows and is planned in the 90-day roadmap, with an estimate before work starts. Guarded remediation only begins if the pilot results justify it, and you get a written update every Friday.
Do we need to clean up alerts before adopting AIOps?
Yes. An AI agent that reads thousands of noisy alerts a week will mostly learn to repeat that noise. Removing duplicate, flapping and unowned alerts first gives the agent cleaner signals and gives your team a quieter on-call straight away. That is why every Valfort Tech AIOps engagement starts with an alert-noise audit.
